يريد أنطونيو كونتي أن يجعل جماهير إنتر ميلان فخورة أمام يوفنتوس، ويصر على أن النيراتزوري بحاجة إلى أداء مثالي للوصول إلى نهائي كأس إيطاليا.

ويواجه إنتر نظيره يوفنتوس في إياب نصف نهائي كأس إيطاليا على ملعب “أليانز ساتديوم” غدًا الثلاثاء.

كان الإنتر قد تعرض للهزيمة 2-1 في مباراة الذهاب على ملعب “جوزيبي مياتزا الأسبوع الماضي.

قال كونتي لشبكة “Rai Sport”: “نعلم أننا يجب أن نكون مصدر فخر لمشجعينا”.

وأضاف: “الشباب يدركون أن من يرتدي هذا القميص يجب أن يجعل الجماهير فخورة بغض النظر عن النتيجة، يجب أن تكون هذه مهمتنا”.

وأتم كونتي: “يجب أن نعمل ونجهز اللعبة بالطريقة الصحيحة، وهذا أفضل شيء لإقناع اللاعبين بأنهم قادرون على الفوز بهذه المباراة”.

According to SPORT, Liverpool are eyeing up a move for Real Betis left-back Junior Firpo as they attempt to find a replacement for the outgoing Alberto Moreno.

What’s the word, then?

Well, the Champions of Europe decided not to extend Moreno’s contract and the Spanish international will be leaving Anfield when his contract expires at the end of the month.

As a result, Liverpool should probably find a back-up to Andy Robertson as they have no senior player in that position behind the Scottish international.

Firpo impressed in La Liga last season, making 24 appearances in Spain’s top flight whilst recording an impressive three goals and four assists – he can also play on the left of midfield, where his attacking qualities come in handy.

The Spain Under-21 international has a €50m (£44.6m) release clause and is under contract at Betis until 2023 – the club have demanded that any interested party must pay his full buyout fee.

Barcelona are also said to be keeping tabs on the 6 ft full-back.

Liverpool would be crazy to pay that

Liverpool would be absolute fools to pay that much for a second choice left-back.

Andy Robertson is arguably the best left-back in Europe right now having just recorded 13 assists last term on the way to winning the Champions League, and is also an ever-present in the side – one would assume that 22-year-old Firpo would barely feature if he signed.

The Reds also proved that it is possible to get a quality left-back for a minimal fee when they signed Robertson for just £10m two summers ago – in that respect, paying over four times that figure for Firpo would be downright crazy.

Robertson suffered just one injury last term ruling him out for 12 days, but it didn’t result in him missing a game – as aforesaid, Firpo would presumably only play in cup matches as the former Hull man rarely gives Jurgen Klopp an excuse to drop him.

This would be a monumental waste of money from the Merseysiders.

Leeds United fans on Twitter have been reacting as Daniel James’ move to Manchester United edges closer to completion.

The winger almost joined Leeds on deadline day back in January in one of the most exciting transfer sagas of the winter window.

James had even completed a medical at Elland Road ahead of the proposed loan move, which would have become permanent had Leeds been promoted to the Premier League.

The 21-year-old really kicked on after January to end the season with four goals and seven assists in the Championship, which has prompted one of the biggest clubs in Europe to go after him.

The Welshman is now undergoing a medical with the Red Devils and it seems to be just a matter of time before he is announced as a United player.

That news hasn’t gone down well with Leeds fans. Some have blamed the club for trying to pinch pennies in January, whereas others have claimed they’d likely be in the Premier League right now had James’ January saga panned out differently.

The latest in a long line of managerial targets for West Brom has seen them line up Slaven Bilic as a potential successor to Darren Moore.

That’s per Express & Star who reported on Wednesday that the club had held talks with him this week over their vacant managerial position. It’s a role that’s now been without a permanent head since March.

Most recently, Chris Wilder has been targeted according to Sky Sports, whilst Express & Star also claim Albion are keen to speak to Lee Bowyer.

Reacting to the Bilic news on Twitter there was a sense of optimism from some supporters. One fan laid claim that he was a good manager, suggesting he was confident the board could get a deal over the line despite wages potentially being an issue.

A further supporter said he was a manager with an excellent pedigree. Another individual explained that Bilic’s potential appointment would be a gamble but a fun ride at the same time.

The Croatian was capped 44 times by his country during his playing career and also went onto manage them.

Bilic has experience managing in England with West Ham but his most recent job was in charge of Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ittihad.

He might not have been the impact signing many Liverpool fans expected, but Naby Keita is finally starting to show why the club shelled out so much money for him.

The £48 million signing from RB Leipzig has taken some time to adapt to life in the Premier League and has found it difficult at times to find his form that made the midfielder such a prized asset in Germany, but heading into the business end of the season, Keita is finally starting to find his rhythm again.

The Guinean international has scored his first goals for the club against Southampton and Huddersfield, the latter of which came within the first 15 seconds of kick-off, and as well as Keita managing to score goals for Liverpool the central midfielder is beginning to show signs that next season will be the time he really takes up the mantle of Steven Gerrard’s replacement.

Keita has taken control of the Liverpool midfielder since his run of form started against the Saints, and since then has gone on to be one of the Reds’ best players in the team and is one of the driving forces behind Jurgen Klopp’s mean taking Manchester City all the way to the end for the Premier League title.

The midfielder failed to live up to the hype at the start of the season after a year of Liverpool fans waiting for his arrival and taking the prestigious number eight shirt from Gerrard, but Keita has found his feet in English football at the right time, and there is no doubt that next season the former RB Leipzig man will flourish for the Merseyside club if he carries on this form he has found.

Spurs are looking like they are set to make their new home a fortress to be reckoned with based on their performances there so far.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been putting on some displays for their home fans, and are on the brink of a place in the Champions League semi-finals if they can ensure they do the business in the return leg against Manchester City.

However, the summer looks set to once again be a big one for the club, with a host of their top stars being eyed up by some of Europe’s biggest and best clubs.

One man who could be on his way out if Manchester United get their way is midfielder Christian Eriksen, who could be set to be offered triple his wages if the Old Trafford club can convince Spurs to agree to the sale of the Denmark star.

We here in the Tavern though feel that Spurs need to be meeting any approaches for Eriksen with a resounding no if they are to continue to build and grow as a serious force in the Premier League.

Eriksen has been in superb form ever since he made the move into the English game, and he has really developed his craft to become one of the finest attacking midfield players in all of Europe.

If he was to move on to United, there is little doubt he would settle in nicely and improve things for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, but it would be Spurs who would be left counting the cost of seeing one of their brightest and best talents being lost to a rival.

Some players are simply irreplaceable, and Eriksen falls right into this mould for Spurs given everything he offers to the cause.

وبحسب صحيفة “ميرور” البريطانية، فإن برايتون أخبر بطل الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، إنه يريد الحصول على 50 مليون جنيه إسترليني للموافقة على بيع بن وايت.

بن وايت صاحب الـ 22 عامًا، قضى موسم 2019/2020 على سبيل الإعارة من برايتون مع ليدز يونايتد.

ليفربول كان حاول التعاقد مع بن وايت في الصيف المُنصرم، مقابل 30 مليون باوند، ولكن إدارة برايتون رفضت العرض.

بن وايت كان أحد الركائز الأساسية في ليدز، حيث شارك في 49 مُباراة بمُختلف المُسابقات في موسم 2019/2020، وسجل هدفًا وصنع هدفين.

يُذكر أن برايتون أعلن في سبتمبر الماضي، عن تجديد عقد بن وايت لمدة أربع سنوات، ومنحه عقدًا حتى عام 2024.
