For most of the day it was a tight contest, but in the last few overs Borgas and Harris cut loose and the end came in a rush, with the Redbacks getting home with 15 balls to spare.The winning runs arrived when Borgas edged away to the third-man boundary off Patrick Cummins, and the South Australia players streamed on to the field to celebrate the state’s first title in any format since the 1995-96 Sheffield Shield. Back then, Jamie Siddons, Tim Nielsen and James Brayshaw were part of the side, and Borgas was 12 years old.And in a South Australian outfit featuring seven players imported from other states or abroad, it was fitting that it was two homegrown talents – Borgas and Harris – who completed the win after another South Australia-born player, Kane Richardson, took three wickets. New South Wales won the toss and batted, but Richardson helped restrict them to 8 for 153, which looked like a middling total rather than an imposing one.By the time South Australia’s captain Michael Klinger had cracked 30 from 18 deliveries, including a hook for six off Scott Coyte, the chase was well and truly on target. The pair began by knocking around singles and twos, running hard and ensuring the required run-rate didn’t balloon too much, and then one big over put them firmly in command.The medium-fast bowler Coyte was coming off a short run-up and Borgas exploited his lack of bounce brilliantly, scooping a pair of slog-swept sixes over midwicket in an over that cost 17 runs. From there, the task sat around a run a ball, until the end came with a flurry. Borgas finished unbeaten on 62 from 39 and Harris had 48 from 39, including two sixes, and he was also the tournament’s leading run scorer.The man who came second on that tally was David Warner, upon whose stocky shoulders the Blues’ hopes rested. He started the day in encouraging style, slog-sweeping Adil Rashid on to the roof in the third over, but he fell for 21 when Richardson bowled him with a fuller delivery that Warner tried to send into orbit.From there, the Blues struggled to gather any real momentum, although Daniel Smith (43 off 35) and Moises Henriques (41) made useful contributions. But they battled to dominate a South Australia attack that, as it had throughout most of its five wins from six games in the preliminary rounds, relied on a triple-pronged spin attack that took the pace off the ball.A couple of balls from the offspinner Nathan Lyon were deposited over the long-on boundary by Smith, but Aaron O’Brien’s left-armers were hard to get away, and his first over was one of only three maidens bowled throughout the tournament. The wickets earned by Richardson (3 for 31) were also useful, as he helped prevent any late surge from the lower-order.And by restricting New South Wales to 153, the hosts ensured that South Australia’s name will be etched on to a piece of silverware. By next year, the competition will be almost unrecognisable, with eight city-based teams and players spread across the country, some away from their home states. لعب حارس مرمى الكاميرون مرة واحدة فقط مع منتخب بلاده في نهائيات كأس العالم، قبل إعادته إلى بلاده بسبب الخلاف بينه وبين المدرب سونج والذي احتاج لتدخل رئيس الاتحاد صامويل إيتو.

قال اللاعب البالغ من العمر 26 عامًا في صفحاته على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي: “بعد ساعات طويلة من التدريب، ورحلات لا تنتهي والكثير من المثابرة، يمكنني القول بفخر أنني حققت حلمي الكبير”.

وأضاف: “لكن كل قصة مهما كانت جميلة يجب أن تنتهي، وقصتي مع المنتخب الكاميروني قد انتهت”.

وتابع: “اللاعبون يأتون ويذهبون، الأسماء عابرة، لكن الكاميرون تأتي قبل أي شخص أو لاعب، تظل الكاميرون أبدية وكذلك حبي للمنتخب الوطني ولشعبنا الذي دعمنا دائمًا”.

Kevin Pietersen will undergo surgery on a hernia following the World Cup and has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League. Pietersen’s injury was confirmed after the team returned from Australia last month and will be managed through the rest of the World Cup.Pietersen will be out of action for around six weeks which means he won’t be able to take up his contract with Deccan Charges, but is expected to be fit in time for England’s first Test of the home season against Sri Lanka, at Cardiff, on May 26.”I’m obviously extremely disappointed to have picked up this hernia injury but I’ve been able to manage it so far throughout the World Cup and will continue to do so under the guidance of the England team’s medical staff,” Pietersen said. “It will no doubt impact my preparation but careful management should see me still play a significant role in the team’s campaign.”Representing England in a World Cup is something I’ve been looking forward to for the past four years and I’m excited by the prospect of helping the team achieve something special here on the sub-continent against the best teams in the world. I’m bitterly disappointed to be missing the IPL but can take comfort from the fact that I will be fit for the start of a very exciting English summer against Sri Lanka and India.”Pietersen picked up a groin strain during the one-day series in Australia but only missed one match. He has looked in good form during his three innings with scores of 39, 31 and 59 but England need him to convert those starts. Pietersen spent time off the field during Ireland’s run chase on Wednesday but now that his injury is public it will be interesting to see if he is allowed a substitute should he need to leave the field again.England’s next World Cup match is against South Africa, in Chennai, on Sunday.

– O projeto apresentado foi muito importante, o desenvolvimento da minha carreira. Conversamos bastante. Acho que foi muito importante para mim. Espero que lá consiga me desenvolver muito rápido. A decisão foi minha. O Vasco também precisa dessa parte financeira. Também foi muito bom para mim. Eu tinha essa vontade de jogar na Europa. Vou procurar me desenvolver para ter uma boa carreira e chegar onde eu quero – afirmou o jogador.

Os torcedores do Vasco, por meio das redes sociais, criticaram bastante a venda de Paulinho. Presidente cruz-maltino, Alexandre Campello destacou que a vontade da diretoria era de manter o atacante em São Januário por um período maior, mas as dificuldades financeiras foram decisivas pelo fato de a proposta do Bayer ter chegado a 20 milhões de euros (aproximadamente R$ 84 milhões).

– Queríamos manter o Paulinho por mais um ou dois anos, três anos, quanto tempo fosse possível. Entendemos que é um jogador que num futuro próximo deverá crescer muito. Este montante pode chegar a 26,5 milhões de euros (cerca de R$ 111,2 milhões) em caso de metas alcançadas. Em futuras transferências de Paulinho, porém, o Vasco seguirá recebendo 10% do valor das negociações, além do dinheiro que tem o mecanismo de solidariedade da Fifa como referência.

Ogoleiro Bruno Carcaioli, os laterais Garcia e Emerson Maranhão, os zagueiros Henri e Renan, os meias Fabinho e Gabriel Vieira e o atacante Gabriel Veron foram chamados para um período de treinos da Seleção sub-17 no CT da base do São Paulo, em Cotia, entre 14 e 20 de maio.A lista tem jogadores nascidos em 2002, ano limite para servir à categoria em 2019, quando serão disputadas as próximas competições oficiais.

Ogoleiro Matheus Sales, o zagueiro Kauan Sergio, os meias Clebson e João Pedro e o atacante Ruan Ribeiro também participarão de um período de treinos no CT são-paulino, mas com a equipe sub-15. O grupo ficará concentrado por uma semana, visando o Sul-Americano Sub-17 de 2019.

Só nos cinco primeiros meses de 2018, o Palmeiras teve ao todo 19 atletas convocados para a Seleção Brasileira. Base já tem cinco títulos no exterior em 2018

Pela quinta vez no ano, uma equipe de base do Palmeiras foi campeã no exterior. O time sub-14 faturou o Tokyo U-14 International Youth Football Tournament, disputado no Japão, após superar o Chertanovo, da Rússia, na final – empate por 0 a 0 no tempo regulamentar e vitória por 4 a 1 nos pênaltis. O clube venceu todos os torneios que disputou no exterior neste ano.

Em Bolonha, na Itália, o sub-15 foi campeão do torneio We Love Football. Também na Itália, o sub-17 foi bicampeão da Scopigno Cup, em Rieti. No Japão, foram mais três títulos: o sub-14 levou o Tokyo International Youth Football Tournament, em Tóquio, o sub-12 venceu a Copa Toreros, em Shizuoka, e o sub-16 faturou a Saitama International Football Festival, em Saitama.
