أكد سيد عبد الحفيظ، مدير الكرة بالأهلي أن الفريق أمامه مباراة صعبة أمام منافس قوي مثل الوداد المغربي في نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

ويلتقي الأهلي مع الوداد المغربي في التاسعة مساء الإثنين المقبل على ملعب مركب محمد الخامس بمدينة الدار البيضاء.

 ويسعى الأهلي للحفاظ على لقب دوري أبطال إفريقيا، والفوز بالبطولة للمرة الحادية عشرة في تاريخه والثالثة على التوالي.

وقال عبد الحفيظ في تصريحات للموقع الرسمي للأهلي: “ثقتي كبيرة في خوض لاعبي الأهلي المباراة النهائية بثقة وشخصية تعبر عنهم كأبطال استحقوا التواجد في هذا النهائي للعام الثالث على التوالي والمرة الخامسة في آخر ست سنوات”.

وأضاف: “أثق تماما في لاعبي الأهلي واستيعابهم الأجواء في المغرب، وكذلك يوم المباراة، وأن تركيز الجميع سيكون في الملعب من أجل حصد اللقب وتحقيق إنجاز تاريخي”.

وأشار عبد الحفيظ إلى أن مؤازرة جمهور الأهلي القادم من كل مكان في العالم إلى المغرب في النهائي هي حافز كبير للاعبين والجهاز الفني.

ووجه عبد الحفيظ حديثه لجماهير الأهلي والجالية المصرية في المغرب، للاستجابة لدعوة النادي والحصول على التذاكر التي أعلن عن توافرها اليوم للجالية المصرية.

Villa fans will rightly be buzzing at the news that the club are “closing in” on the signing of Bailey, who registered 15 goals and 11 assists last season; especially now with the prospect of losing Jack Grealish to Manchester City, as they very much intend to continue their substantial summer spending.

Newcastle United have earmarked Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley as an alternative option if they are unable to lure Joe Willock back to St James’ Park, according to Shields Gazette reporter Liam Kennedy.

Former England under-21 international Willock scored eight goals in 14 appearances after joining the Magpies on loan for the second half of last season.

The 21-year-old also became the first player to score in seven consecutive Premier League fixtures since Alan Shearer.

Willock is Newcastle boss Steve Bruce’s top target in the transfer window, with the club initially looking to agree permanent terms before exploring whether another temporary deal could be possible.

However, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has insisted Willock is part of his plans and Barkley is seen as a potential loan arrival if a deal for Willock fails to materialise.

Barkley spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, but a hamstring injury restricted him to just 24 appearances.

Kennedy believes Chelsea are willing to sanction another temporary move for the £100,000-a-week 27-year-old and Newcastle could be his destination.

He told The Transfer Tavern: “I think if they don’t sign Joe Willock, you will probably see loan players coming in.

“Ross Barkley is interesting Newcastle United, but they can’t move on to players like him and risk taking up a loan place which may have to be used for Joe Willock.

“They really want Willock. He is their number one target.”

Chennai are currently on 14 points, and victory in their final match will see them jump to 16, and whatever Mumbai does, Chennai will still be through as Delhi Daredevils finished on 15.Things, however, will become complex if Chennai lose to Deccan. Chennai will then be stuck on 14, and their way through will depend on Mumbai’s results. If Mumbai lose their final two games, they will end on 12 points, two shy of Chennai. If Mumbai win one of the remaining two, they would need to suffer a big defeat if Chennai are to qualify for the semi-finals.If, due to rain or any other circumstance, a result is not possible in Hyderabad, then Chennai will reach 15 points.
