وقال خوان براون خلال تصريحات عبر برنامج “اللعيب” على شاشة “إم بي سي مصر”: “وجدت أننا كنا فريقًا سيئًا، وكان لدينا مشاكل في طريقة اللعب ولم نستطع تحقيق النتائج المرجوة منا، ولكن الفريق معي استطاع تحقيق نتائج جيدة وتقدمنا في المستوى”.

وتابع: “لم أكن أنتظر الرحيل واللاعبون كانوا سعداء بعملنا، ولكن في عالم كرة القدم يحدث ذلك، وكان يجب على الجماهير والإدارة الصبر علينا، وأن يكون الجميع متحدين لتخطي هذا الموقف الصعب”.

وأضاف: “أما بالنسبة للصعوبات التي واجهتنا كان لدي العديد من المشاكل بسبب رغبة العديد من اللاعبين في الرحيل، وكان لدي نقص في بعض المراكز، وهذا أمر صعب التعامل معه، وكان هذا خلال شهر ديسمبر الماضي وحاولنا خلال فترة الانتقالات الشتوية تدعيم الفريق في بعض المراكز”.

وأردف: “الدوري المصري قوي للغاية وفيه تنافس كبير، حيث يوجد فريقان أو ثلاثة ينافسون على البطولة، وأفضل نادي واجهته هو بيراميدز، لأنه نادي منظم ويوجد به العديد من اللاعبين الجيدين”.

وبسؤاله عن أفضل لاعب في الدوري المصري، أجاب براون: “من الصعب اختيار اسم بعينه، ولكن بالنسبة لي أعتقد أنه أحمد سيد زيزو لاعب الزمالك، وأيضا وليد الكرتي لاعب بيراميدز”.

واختتم: “أشكر جماهير الإسماعيلي على دعمهم، وأشكر الإدارة والجهاز المعاون، كنت أتمنى الاستمرار أكثر من ذلك”.

Liverpool could be set to make a big transfer mistake this summer by losing out on a major transfer target.

According to reports from Spanish outlet El Periodico Mediteranneo, Real Betis centre-back Aissa Mandi is set to join Villarreal in the summer on a free transfer, with the 60-cap Algerian having apparently already undergone a medical with the Europa League semi-finalists.

News of the transfer could be a big blow for Liverpool, who could be on the hunt for a centre-back in the summer.

It was previously reported that the Reds were interested in Mandi, with the Anfield outfit thought to be considering a swoop for the defender once his contract expired at the Estadio Benito Villamarín expired.

A move for the 29-year-old would have made a lot of sense. Jurgen Klopp’s men have struggled at centre-back this season, with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez all suffering from long-term injuries.

The Reds did manage to add to their defensive options in the January transfer window by bringing in Ozan Kabak on loan from Schalke and also signing Preston North End’s Ben Davies. However, with the latter having not even played a minute for the club and the former only being at the club loan, it would certainly be no surprise to see another central defender arriving at Anfield in the summer.

Mandi would have been a solid option, too, having made 151 appearances in La Liga, whilst he is also hugely experienced in France, having also taken to the pitch on 126 occasions in Ligue 1 with former employers Reims.

With the news that he is set for a move to Villarreal, it appears that he will not be able to bring that experience to Anfield, forcing Michael Edwards and Liverpool to look elsewhere in their search for defensive recruits in the summer.

O Vasco tem encaminhado o seu primeiro nome para 2017. Trata-se de Pedro Bambu, volante que foi campeão da Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro neste ano. Aos 29 anos, ele foi um dos destaques da competição e visto pela cúpula de São Januário como uma oportunidade de contratar um nome bom e sem custos de transferências – o vínculo dele com o Atlético-GO chega ao fim em dezembro. A assinatura com o Vasco, com validade até dezembro de 2018, deve ocorrer assim que terminar a Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro.

O LANCE! conversou com o diretor de futebol do Atlético-GO, Adson Batista, que ressaltou não ter avançado a negociação da equipe goiana pela renovação com Pedro Bambu, por lá desde 2013. Além do Vasco, Sport e Figueirense também enviaram propostas ao volante, que preferiu seguir com a do clube carioca por conta das melhores condições e de maior projeção. Pedro Bambu segue treinando com a equipe goiana para a disputa dos jogos finais da temporada, levando à risca a postura profissional.

Pedro Bambu também conversou com o LANCE!. O volante está no Maranhão em concentração com os companheiros goianos neste fim de temporada e se pronunciará apenas quando encerrar o seu compromisso com o Atlético-GO, depois do último jogo da Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro na semana que vem. Ocasião esta que ele deve se deslocar para o Rio de Janeiro, antes do período de férias, para tratar os trâmites finais.

A reportagem do LANCE! entrou em contato com a diretoria do Vasco para um posicionamento de forma oficial, mas não obteve retorno até a publicação desta matéria. Vale lembrar que o Vasco tem na mira também o atacante Luis Fabiano, mas ainda não prosseguiu nas conversas – há a concorrência da Ponte Preta pelo atleta de 36 anos. Ainda sem o Bambu, o Vasco entra em campo neste sábado contra o Criciúma e uma vitória garantirá o retorno da equipe à elite do futebol brasileiro em 2017.

Liverpool have been handed a considerable injury boost ahead of this weekend’s clash against Southampton, with Nathaniel Phillips able to take to the pitch once again.

The centre-back has missed the last two Premier League games with an injury, both of them ending in 1-1 draws against Leeds United and Newcastle United.

Whilst he was scheduled to take to the pitch in the Reds’ Premier League game against Manchester United last time out, he did not end up playing as the match was called off due to fan protests at Old Trafford.

However, with Phillips now sure to be included in the Liverpool squad as Jurgen Klopp’s men host Southampton on Saturday night, his return will be a huge boost to the Reds for a number of reasons.

First and foremost, Phillips is one of Liverpool’s first-choice centre-backs at the moment due to the respective injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.

He has forged a promising partnership with on-loan Ozan Kabak, having started seven Premier League games since the turn of the year. In fact, the Reds have not won any of the last nine league games in which the 24-year-old hasn’t featured, that run stretching all the way back to the 7-0 thumping of Crystal Palace in December.

His underlying statistics are also quite impressive. Hailed as a “monster” by Jurgen Klopp, he has won a huge 5.5 aerial duels per game in the Premier League this season according to WhoScored. He has also contributed 1.2 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 4.3 clearances per match, which are very impressive numbers.

Another huge benefit of his inclusion is the possibility of pushing Fabinho back into his preferred position. The Brazilian midfielder has been forced to deputise in the backline due to the club’s injury issues this season.

Whilst the 28-year-old is capable at centre-back, he is simply more effective in the middle of the park, so Klopp will be thrilled for a number of reasons that Phillips can return to the starting line-up tonight.

Aston Villa, Arsenal and Everton are all interested in signing Fulham midfielder Andre-Frank Anguissa this summer.

And, as to be expected, Villa’s interest has had a lot of supporters talking on social media.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the Cottagers are expected to sell Anguissa after Scott Parker’s sides’ relegation from the Premier League was confirmed on Monday.

Villa are thought to be monitoring developments regarding the 25-year-old and are reportedly better placed than most clubs financially heading into the transfer window.

Fulham would want around £20m for the Cameroon international, who has made 60 appearances for his current employers in all competitions.

That’s £2.25m cheaper than his current Transfermarkt valuation, with Anguissa thought to be on £70,000-a-week at Craven Cottage.

Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been giving their thoughts to a transfer update regarding the Eagles and Slavia Prague attacker Abdallah Sima.

According to France Football, relayed by GFFN, Sima is in ‘advanced talks’ to make the move to Selhurst Park.

No finances are outlined in the story, but it seems as if the Eagles have a real chance of landing the Senegal international.

The 19-year-old, capable of playing on either wing or through the middle, has scored 15 goals and registered six assists for Prague this season.

Sima, valued at £9.9m, netted against Leicester City in the Europa League knockout stages, scoring four goals in the competition with Prague eventually being knocked out by Arsenal in the quarter-finals.
