Na mesa, pediu R$ 140 mil (atualmente recebe cerca de R$ 30 mil) de salários, além de luvas e parte do valor que teria direito caso o Fluminense exercesse a prioridade na prolongação do vínculo, que gira em torno de R$ 1,2 milhão.

– Não imaginávamos que a história fosse terminar desse jeito. Ele tinha a chance de ficar livre nesse fim de ano. Poderia vir um ganho econômico e isso está mexendo com sua cabeça e de seu pai. Eles estão virando as costas para todos que os ajudaram. Eu e Lincoln fizemos muito por ele e o Fluminense foi o clube que o projetou. Ele poderia repensar sua atitude e postura. Se tiver de encerrar o ciclo, que encerre com dignidade e pela porta da frente. Não pensando apenas na questão financeira, pois isso virá naturalmente. Não precisa se indispor com todos e principalmente com o Fluminense. Mas é uma coisa que foge ao nosso controle e ficamos chateados. Temos de ver que rumo isso aí vai tomar – encerrou.

Celtic may regret missing out on West Ham winger Robert Snodgrass, after making a loan move before the transfer window deadline.

However, that deal failed to materialise, with the Bhoys instead settling on Diego Laxalt as a late arrival. Speaking to Football Insider, Noel Whelan has even suggested that Celtic could return for Snodgrass when the January transfer window opens up in a couple of months, claiming that the Hoops “could squeeze that last bit of quality out of him to help the team”.

Whilst Celtic did end up bringing a new face in, a move for Snodgrass would have made far sense for the club than signing Laxalt like they did.

With 28 caps for Scotland, the West Ham ace is still proving even this season that he still has plenty left in his locker. In three Carabao Cup matches for the Hammers, he has scored twice and set up another, whilst the 2019/2020 campaign saw him establish himself as a consistent performer, netting five goals and providing five assists in 26 games.

Described as a “wonderful player” by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, the £40k-a-week ace has that bit of creativity and class in the final third that could have added a real bit of quality to Celtic.

Capable of playing on either flank, and also as a number ten, Snodgrass averaged 1.4 key passes, 1.6 crosses and even 1.2 tackles per game in the Premier League last season. So whilst he may be 33, there’s still legs left in the Scot’s career, and given his versatility, could have been a real coup for Neil Lennon’s side had they managed to pull a loan move off.

For the longest time, Leeds United have had a striker problem.

Patrick Bamford seemed like the most maligned forward in the country during periods last season, and you can understand why as he underperformed his xG by 18 and missed a plethora of big chances throughout the campaign.

Fortunately, Bamford has finally found his shooting boots, netting three in five to open this season, and the £27m addition of Rodrigo seems to have alleviated United’s attacking woes.

However, on Tuesday we saw one man who may stake his claim to be United’s first-choice forward in the near future.

Indeed, Ryan Edmondson has long been touted as a future star at Leeds, and fans have wanted to see him in the first-team for a number of years now.

You can understand why too, Edmondson netted 20 goals for the U23s in the 2018/19 campaign, which is an incredible return considering he was just 17 years old for the majority of that season.

The teenager is incredibly physically gifted for his age, being described by LeedsLive as tall, strong and powerful with a reputation for bullish aggressive play up top.

This season he’s finally got his first chance to play regular senior football having been sent out on loan to Aberdeen. While he’s had a slow start to life in Scotland, he seemed to finally find his stride on Tuesday.

Edmondson scored twice and got an assist as Aberdeen dismantled Hamilton Academical 4-2. The 19-year-old barely put a foot wrong, bagging twice from three shots.

This sort of clinical finishing is what Leeds have been missing, and while you can easily write off the SPFL for being a poor league, some top strikers have come from there, including former Leeds United hero Mark Viduka, and if Edmondson becomes half as good as he was then he will be a star at Elland Road for years to come.

It’s now up to the striker to keep this form up and force Bielsa into giving him a shot next season.

Nesta segunda-feira, o América-MG confirmou que oatacante Richarlison, de apenas 18 anos e um dos destaques da última Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro, vai defender oTricolor das Laranjeiras. A diretoria doclube carioca aguarda apenas os resultados dos dos exames médicos, realizados nesta segunda, para anunciar a contratação.
