West Ham United were simply shambolic against Burnley, as a performance littered with errors saw them lose 3-0.

There was Fabian Balbuena’s shocking touch for their second, as well as Roberto’s calamitous attempt at a punch away from a corner.

The team statistics also show how off the pace they were, having half the shots of Burnley, 7 fewer corners, winning 9 less aerial duels and making 10 fewer dribbles.

While there weren’t many players who could walk away from this performance with their head held high, Issa Diop could.

The Frenchman was the only West Ham player who won more aerial duels than he lost, getting to 4 of the 5 he contested.

He was even more dominant in the tackle, as he won both of those that he attempted, one of three Hammers to be successful in all of their challenges.

In addition, he made 5 interceptions, which was 2 more than anybody else on the pitch, as well as making 3 clearances, with Balbuena and Roberto the only West Ham players to exceed that number.

The big criticism that could be made of his performance was that he gave the ball away too often, completing 72% of his attempted passes.

Considering his defensive solidity compared to the calamitous events that were unfolding around him, this was a decent display from the Frenchman.

وأضاف: “لقد كان معنا منذ عامين، ومع ذلك، فإن هذه الاتفاقية لم تحدث مع هالاند”.

وأكد زورك أن هذه الاتفاقية كادت أن يتم تفعيلها في الصيف الماضي أثناء ملاحقة مانشستر يونايتد لسانشو، موضحًا: “في النهاية، لم يتم الوفاء بالمتطلبات”.

وأضاف: “في فترة معينة لو كانت هناك إمكانية لترشحي لرئاسة نادي الزمالك وحازم إمام ترشح فلن أنزل أمامه وسأسانده، وهو بالتأكيد لو ترشح سيفوز”.

واختتم: “كنت قريبًا من الانضمام إلى الأهلي 3 مرات، في كل تجديد لي مع الزمالك كانوا يتفاوضون معي، ولكني كنت أرفض، لأنني أرى أن أي لاعب ينتقل من الزمالك إلى الأهلي والعكس، يفقد هويته”.

إبراهميوفيتش لم يكمل مباراة ميلان ويوفنتوس، الأحد الماضي، بسبب إصابة في الركبة.

وكانت هُناك شكوك من إصابة إبراهيموفيتش بقطع في الرباط الصليبي، ولكن تبين أنّ المهاجم السويدي يُعاني من التواء في الركبة اليسرى.

إبراهيموفيتش لن يكون بحاجة إلى عملية جراحية، وسيغيب عن الملاعب لـ ستة أسابيع.

غياب إبراهيموفيتش عن الملاعب لستة أسابيع، يعني أنه لن يلحق بمواجهات منتخب بلاده، في بطولة أمم أوروبا القادمة.

وكتب الاتحاد السويدي عبر حسابه الرسمي بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي “تويتر: “لقد تم إبلاغ يان أندرسون، أنّ إصابة زلاتان ستمنعه من المشاركة في بطولة أوروبا هذا الصيف”.

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media to fume at chairman Daniel Levy for the decision to sack Mauricio Pochettino as head coach.

Spurs revealed that Pochettino had been relieved of his duties on Tuesday night, and Levy said in a statement that the club were “extremely reluctant” to make the change but this season’s results forced their hand.

He wasted little time in bringing in the Argentine’s successor either, with Jose Mourinho appointed early on Wednesday morning.

The capital giants have only won three of their 12 Premier League matches this season to sit down in 14th position in the table.

However, not too many of the supporters are blaming Pochettino.

Indeed, many took to social media on Tuesday evening to slam Levy for the decision to sack the Argentine, who led the club to a Champions League final last season.

Aston Villa may have beaten Newcastle United 2-0, but Wesley took his run of games without a goal or assist to five in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old has not been directly involved in a goal since netting a brace and adding an assist during Villa’s 5-1 win against Norwich City.

He had a golden chance to change that against the Magpies, but Martin Dubravka stopped the Brazilian’s effort from point-blank range.

There are many Villa fans who are not concerned by this goal drought, citing how useful he can be in bringing teammates into the game as a reason for their stance.

The Brazilian was complimented for his performance against Newcastle by those fans after he won seven aerial duels and made one tackle, while also playing two key passes.

Aside from the statistics, his general hold-up play and work-rate were applauded, while one said that he can look towards former loanee Tammy Abraham for inspiration.

Not all fans were so forgiving though, as there are those who are beginning to lose hope in Wesley due to his lack of a clinical touch in front of goal.

Part of the issue for Wesley could be the number of shots that he is taking, as that effort against Newcastle was his only one of the game, while he averages 1.8 shots per Premier League match this campaign.

Whatever the reason is for his lack of goals, it is deemed unacceptable by many fans, with one calling him a “£22m carthorse”.

In other news, a former Villa man has named the striker he thinks the club should sign in January.

يذكر أن الزمالك تأهل إلى دور الـ16 بعدما تخطى عقبة حرس الحدود بنتيجة 3-1، بينما الإسماعيلي انتصر على لافينا أحد أندية الدرجة الرابعة بهدفين لهدف.

تحدث زين الدين زيدان لوسائل الإعلام، بعد فوز ريال مدريد على أتلتيك بلباو في سان ماميس، عن الصراع على الليجا الذي سيحسم في المباراة الأخيرة للبطولة، وعن مستقبله.

في الساعات الأخيرة ظهرت معلومات مختلفة تؤكد أن المدرب سيغادر النادي في نهاية الموسم، وهو ما نفاه زيدان.

وقال زيدان في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ماركا” الإسبانية: “نواصل القتال وسنقدم كل شيء، كان معروفًا أن هذه المنافسة ستستمر حتى النهاية، أنا سعيد بالمباراة التي لعبناها اليوم، نحن ما زلنا على قيد الحياة، سنخوض مباراة صعبة ضد فياريال، وعلينا التركيز على أنفسنا”.

وأضاف: “كيف سأخبر لاعبي فريقي أنني سأرحل الآن؟ هي كذبة، لن أقول لهم ذلك أبدًا في نهاية الموسم، أنا الآن مع الفريق حتى المباراة الأخيرة، والباقي سوف نراه لاحقًا”.

وشدد المدرب الفرنسي: “لا يمكننا الحديث باستمرار عن مستقبلي، الشيء الأكثر أهمية هو المباراة الأخيرة المتبقية لدينا”.

وعن عدم احتساب ركلة جزاء لريال مدريد أمام أتلتيك بلباو، أردف زيدان: “لقد تحدثنا بالفعل عن ذلك، لا أريد الخوض فيه، يقوم الحكم بعمله ويحاول بذل قصارى جهده، وأنا أحاول القيام بعملي، صحيح أنهم يقولون إن هناك لمسة يد، لكني أقوم بعملي والحكم أيضًا”. هل حرم الحكم ريال مدريد من ركلة جزاء أمام أتلتيك بلباو؟

وعن لاعبه إدين هازارد وعدم الدفع به أساسيًا، أوضح زيدان: “لا شيء يحدث، يلعب الآخرون وهو معنا، يجب أن أختار أحد عشر لاعبًا، وهو موجود معنا”.

Real Madrid have been on fire recently.

Following a rocky start to the 2019/20 season, Los Blancos have successfully turned their fortunes around and have now tallied 18 goals in the last five games, conceding just one goal in the process.

By all standards, Zinedine Zidane has definitely made some good changes that benefited the team and they are still reaping their rewards with some important games coming up in the near future.

And one big part of that success has been the emergence of their young players like Federico Valverde and Rodrygo.

Both players have been extremely efficient and have given some much-needed wind to the Galacticos’ sails. Of course, we shouldn’t forget Vinicius Junior, who is another young, up and coming player with enough talent to become a star of the future.

The best part of that, however, seems to be in Zidane and Florentino Perez’s stance on their young players.

Just recently, Defensa Central came out with a story stating Real Madrid have been offered Willian from Chelsea as the Brazilian is looking to leave London in the not too distant future.

Interestingly enough, the now 31-year-old winger will be out of contract next summer and even though there is certainly quality still in his legs, Real reportedly decided to turn this offer down.

To put it simply – they have no need for Willian and despite his availability, it seems that Real Madrid will put some faith into their current wingers, especially the young ones in the form of Rodrygo and Vinicius.

This update is definitely great news for the duo as it seems that Zidane trusts them and will keep them in his plans.

As for Willian – he has managed to bag three goals and three assists in a total of 16 games across all competitions, but that doesn’t seem to be enough to convince Los Blancos.

Given the expiry date of his contract and Frank Lampard’s young squad, separation does seem more than just a distant thought at this point in time.

Seeing how the Blues are currently fourth in the table and on track to fight for the top spots in the Premier League, maybe the Blues could use Willian’s experience and pedigree to their advantage.

Keeping him until the summer, for that reason, could also be a decent idea for the London team.

In other news, there has been an intriguing revelation connecting Real Madrid with new Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.
