Tottenham Hotspur suffered a severe blow in their bid to finish in the top-four this season on Saturday and many fans have pinned the blame on hot-head Son Heung-Min.

Spurs lost 1-0 to AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, meaning they must beat Everton on the final day at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to be guaranteed qualification to the Champions League.

The 26-year-old South Korea international was sent off in the first half after pushing Jefferson Lerma to the ground, leaving Spurs with 10 men at half-time.

Juan Foyth was then dismissed in the second half just minutes after coming on as a substitute, and Nathan Ake took advantage in injury time, heading home a Ryan Fraser corner to give his side all three points.

Spurs face Ajax in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday before their final day clash with Everton and many fans believe that Son was to blame for the dismal collapse on the south coast.

According to a report in The Daily Record, Celtic have placed a £15m price tag upon midfielder Tom Rogic’s head following interest from English Premier League clubs Leicester City and Southampton, but the club should be doing everything in their power to keep him at Parkhead.

What’s the word, then?

Well, The Daily Record report that former Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to spark a bidding war for the 26-year-old international this summer as he is keen to bring him to the King Power Stadium.

Leeds United fans are feeling very pessimistic about their chances in the playoff semi-finals after a stat emerged that pointed in their favour.

The stat that was the subject of an article in the Yorkshire Evening Post stated: out of the 17 sides who have won the first leg away from home in the second tier, all 17 teams have gone on to qualify for the final at home.

This means that if Leeds were to follow that trend then they would be headed to Wembley at the end of this month.

Rather than fill supporters with hope however, it has instilled a sense of pessimism amongst the fanbase as they believe it would be typical if their club were the ones to buck this trend.

The Yorkshire club have already broken a spell of teams at the top of the Championship at Christmas going on to be promoted, so it makes sense for fans to be worried after this record emerged.

The phone at Selhurst Park will likely ring constantly throughout the summer transfer window, with Crystal Palace surely doing their best to keep Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Wilfried Zaha, both of whom had excellent 2018/19 campaigns and look very capable of playing for a top side.

If a Manchester City or a Manchester United come in with the big bucks we all know they have, though, the Eagles could lose one of their star assets. Fortunately, the latter’s reported first offer for right-back Wan-Bissaka falls well short of the mark and Palace fans are furious.

وأكمل: “كان ذلك مذهلاً حقًا، لتلقي العديد من الرسائل من جميع أنحاء العالم، والجميع يشيد بنا، أنا متأكد من أن 90 في المائة من العالم كانوا وراءنا في النهائي”.

وواصل: “هذه الخسارة بالطبع لن ننساها أبدًا، لأننا كنا قريبين من الحلم وتحقيق اللقب، أكبر لقب يمكن لأي لاعب الفوز به في مسيرته الكروية، لكنني كنت فخورًا بما فعلناه”.

وشدد: “اعتزالي الدولي كانت أصعب لحظة في مسيرتي الكرية، لكن في بعض الأحيان عليك أن تدرك أن اللحظة قد حانت، 13 عامًا وأكثر من 100 مباراة، ومع عودتي إلى إشبيلية، في ظل تفشي فيروس كورونا، كان عليّ اتخاذ القرار، والتركيز مع فريقي وتخصيص المزيد من الوقت لعائلتي، كما أن منتخب بلادنا يمتلك العديد من المواهب، ويسحتقون الفرصة”.

وتطرق للحديث عن إشبيلية: “الأجواء في إشبيلية مُذهلة حقًا، ربما تكون هي المدينة الأكثر جنونًا في إسبانيا من حيث الشغف بكرة القدم”.

Tottenham fans on Twitter have been debating whether or not to re-sign Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale, after The Times revealed that the Spanish side would be willing to allow the Welshman to leave for free just to get him off the wage bill.

Bale has scored 14 goals and recorded six assists this season, although it has been another difficult campaign for the former Southampton man in the Spanish capital.

Los Blancos are reportedly trying to get rid of him, and he was coldly left on the bench in the last game of the season without having the chance to say goodbye – it is a cruel way to treat a player who has been pivotal in winning four Champions League titles, a Copa del Rey success in which Bale scored the winner in the final and a league title.

He is still undoubtedly a world-class player, and would do a job for Mauricio Pochettino – his astonishing £650,000-a-week wages are a huge stumbling block, however.

Being able to sign a player of Bale’s pedigree for free would be an opportunity too good for the Champions League finalists to ignore.

Even if he was paid his current salary at Spurs for a few years, it would potentially work out to be the equivalent of a hefty transfer fee rightly paid for a player of his class, so that shouldn’t prove to be too much of an issue.
